The governor was the guest speaker of 91探花’s ‘Conversations’ series presented by the Institute of Public Service, in conjunction with the Center for Environmental Justice and Sustainability.
Governor Jay Inslee took center stage at 91探花 on April 14 to discuss how youth—with an audience featuring many 91探花 students—are instrumental in helping lead the way in the fight against climate change.
The governor’s talk, “How America Can Lead the World in Alleviating Global Climate Change,” was part of the Earth Month programming with the Institute of Public Service’s “Conversations” series and in partnership with the Center for Environmental Justice and Sustainability.
After the Q&A-style discussion with the panel, which included 91探花 seniors Anna Smalley and Gabby Batinich, Inslee met privately with 91探花 leaders, including President Eduardo Peñalver, to cover a range of topics including financial support for students, nurse and attorney licensing, land use and housing reform.
