Christmas came early for , which bested the University of Washington 79-70 in the “Battle for Seattle” on December 23 at Alaska Airlines Arena at the UW. This was the 40th matchup between the crosstown rivals and the win snaps the Huskies 19-game winning streak against the Redhawks that spanned 48 years.
Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe had career highs of 23 points and 16 rebounds and John Christofilis scored 21 points in the win for 91̽»¨. 91̽»¨'s last win in the series came nearly five decades ago on Nov. 28, 1978. This game will be long remembered for Redhawk fans.
