First-Year Admissions 101

Deciding where to go to college is one of the most important choices you will make in your lifetime. We are excited that you are considering joining us.

When you apply to 91探花, you will be considered as a whole person. We will evaluate your academic record, your life experience and the strengths you might bring to our educational community. We offer generous financial aid to help make our distinctive kind of education possible for all eligible students.

Below you will find all the nuts and bolts of how to apply, including admissions requirements, policies, timeline, and deadlines -- all the details you need to start your college adventure here at Seattle U.

Early Action - November 15

Early Action is a non-binding Admissions plan option, and those accepted will still be free to apply to other universities and compare financial aid offers. Those accepted through Early Action have until May 1 (extended to June 1 for 2024 first-year applicants) to commit to 91探花.

The Early Action deadline is November 15. Early Action candidates must check the early action option on the Common Application and submit all required credentials by the deadline. Those applying for Early Action will be sent decision notifications in mid-December.

Regular Decision - January 15

Students who complete an application by our Regular Decision Admissions plan deadline of January 15 will be sent decision notifications in early March.

Often, the Admissions Office may request additional information from applicants, such as seventh-semester high school grades, most-recent ACT or SAT scores or results from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). These requests should be regarded as an opportunity for continued consideration for admission.

Scholarships

All 91探花 applicants are considered for Institutional Merit Scholarships, which are based on the student's cumulative GPA, standardized test scores (if applicable, 91探花 is test-optional), course rigor, and other academic factors. Merit scholarships for first-year students typically range from $13,000 - $30,000. Scholarship recipients are notified at the time of admission. Visit our Scholarships page for additional information.

Financial aid

Financial aid packages reflecting both need-based and merit-based 91探花 institutional aid are available to admitted students beginning in late January. Students interested in need-based aid consideration must file the (FAFSA) no later than March 4 and have results sent to 91探花 (FAFSA code: 003790). Visit our Financial Aid page for more details.
