Certification Options

91探花's Educational Administration program offers two certifications:

  1. Principal Certification
  2. Program Administration Certification

Obtaining A Certification

There are a variety of ways to obtain either certification. The pathway you choose depends on your educational goals and whether you are starting your program with a bachelor's degree or a master's degree. All certification programs are designed for the working professional.

  • Applicants with a bachelor's or master's degree may obtain:
    • MEd in Educational Administration (37 credits)
    • MEd in Educational Administration with a Principal Certification or Program Administration Certification (47 credits) 
  • Applicants with a master鈥檚 degree have the following options:
    • EdD in Educational Leadership with a Principal Certification or Program Administration Certification (66 credits) 
    • Post-Master's Principal or Program Administration Certification (37 credits)

Principal Certification

91探花鈥檚 Principal Certificate prepares K-12 certified professionals to lead elementary or secondary schools. This program attracts aspiring administrators who are passionate about making a difference 鈥 and who see themselves as leaders of other professionals in pursuit of excellence for students, staff and schools.

Ways to Obtain Principal Certification

  • Applicants with a bachelor鈥檚 or master鈥檚 degree may obtain a MEd in Educational Administration with a Principal Certification (46 credits)
  • Applicants with a master鈥檚 degree can:
    • Obtain an EdD in Educational Leadership with a Principal聽Certification (66 credits)
    • Complete a Post-Master鈥檚 Principal Certificate (37 credits)

Post-Master's Principal Certificate

The Post-Master鈥檚 Principal Certificate is a 37 credit program designed for working professionals and requires a master鈥檚 degree. The program offers weekend, summer, and hybrid class meetings and takes only four to five quarters to complete. The cohort begins each spring and summer. Program Administration Certification

The Certification in Program Administration, which develops leadership skills for aspiring administrators in K-12 schools, district offices or educational nonprofits may be obtained in a variety of ways, all of which meet current National Educational Leadership Preparation (NELP) standards.

Ways to Obtain Program Administration Certification

  • Applicants with a bachelor鈥檚 or master鈥檚 degree may obtain a MEd in Educational Administration with a specialization in program administration designed for directors and managers in public, independent, and private schools. (46 credits)
  • Applicants with a master鈥檚 degree can:
    • Obtain an EdD in Educational Leadership with a聽Program Administrator concentration (66 credits)
    • Complete a Post-Master鈥檚 Principal Certificate (37 credits)

Post-Master's Program Administration Certificate

The Post-Master鈥檚 Program Administration Certificate is a 37 credit program designed for working professionals and who already have a master鈥檚 degree. The program offers weekend, summer and hybrid class meetings and takes only four to five quarters to complete.
